InfoQ: HTML 5 Programming

Per restare al passo coi “veloci” tempi che l’Informatica impone, ho iniziato a dare uno sguardo più di fondo alla nuova proposta di evoluzione del linguaggio HTML: HTML 5, concepito in alternativa al fallito XHTML 2. Ricordo che ad oggi lo stato dei lavori su HTML5 è in draft (vedi W3c).

Il mio sguardo sull’HTML 5 è stato rivolto sul testo Pro HTML5 Programming edito da Apress(r) e scritto da Peter Lubbers, Brian Albers e Frank Salim, testo che reputo interessante e di facile lettura. Ho apprezzato molto il capitolo che parla delle Web Sockets API (Defines a full-duplex communication channel that operates through a single socket over the Web) e Web Storage API (API that makes it easy to persist data across web requests) introdotte con HTML5.

InfoQ ha recentemente pubblicato una recensione del testo completa di interview che troverete senz’altro interessante. Sempre InfoQ ha reso disponibile OnLine il capitolo 6: Using the HTML5 Web Sockets API
